Sleep Paralysis

Sleep Paralysis

Maybe this is not that creepy or not that spooky pero kung ikaw yung makakaexperience, I am pretty sure matatakot kayo.
Have you ever heard about sleep paralysis? Maraming theories, scientific explanations and legends that tried to prove why some people experience such horrific thing. And I am one of the many people who experience sleep paralysis, up until now.
Nung una kong encounter, it felt scary. The word scary is just an understatement. I think it was fearsome. Being scared and to feel fear is different. So ano bang nafefeel natin if we are under this sleep paralysis?
First thing to remember is that you are asleep. Tulog ka. Mahimbing kang natutulog. But, you are aware of your surrounding. Alam mong anong nangyayari sa paligid mo eventhough you are asleep. How? Dahil bukas ang dalawa mong mata. Isn’t it that weird? Tulog ka pero yung diwa mo buhay? But hindi yan yung part na nakakatakot.
Yes, bukas nga mga mata natin, but you cannot move. You cannot turn you head nor shake your hands. It’s like ginapos ka ng chain or rope tapos may naghahawak sa chain sa likod mo. Na kahit anong pilit mong galaw yung shoulders mo, kahit anong pilit mo para i-raise yung arms mo, parang hinihila siya pabalik. Ang mas nakakatakot pa, you wanted to open your mouth. You wanted to shout but you can’t. When you are under this occurrence, gusto mong makawala sa pinaghihigaan mo. You wanted to run. Bakit? The common sensation we feel during sleep paralysis is what they call “”The Intruder””. Iba iba yung case, it depends sa tao. This figure releases eerie and alarming aura. So yung mga victims neto, they feel fearsome ambiance sa kwarto nila. Natatakot kami dahil na fefeel namin ang evil intent and sensation ng “”The Intruder””. Yung natatakot ka na to the point na hindi ka na makakagalaw, namumutla ka na. Remember, we can see and feel “”The Intruder”” na papalapit sa amin, but we cannot shout nor run. We feel like papatayin kami, we feel like lalapit yung figure sa mukha namin para takutin kami, pero wala kaming magagawa dahil nga nakaposas kami sa hinihigaan namin.
And when I am in the paralysis, nag aamplify yung sense of hearing ko. For example, di ba nagproproduce ng sound ang electric fan? If I am in the sleep paralysis, lumalakas ang sound and vibration ng electric fan.
Bakit kong nalaman na nag separate yung body and soul? Yung dalawang arms ko, my 2 legs and my chest, para siyang nagfloat sa air. It was like nag hover sila sa air, literally. Realtalk, walang halong GG to.
Mahirap sila igalaw but magagalaw mo rin if you exert effort at may fighting spirit ka.
